Occupational
Therapist

As a skilled occupational therapist (OTR/L) at Rise Therapy and Wellness, you are to assess clients physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to determine overall need for services and current level of function to develop and implement individualized and client centered treatment plans. Below are the following duties you may be responsible for: 

 

  • Collaborate with team members (physicians, social workers, SLP,  teachers, support staff, etc.) to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment 

  • Educate patients, families, and other team members on therapeutic strategies, adaptive techniques and equipment to facilitate independence and participation in daily tasks 

  • Document progress through completion of daily treatment notes, progress notes, and discharge notes to display accurate records of treatment outcomes. 

  • Supervise and guide fieldwork students (Level I or II)

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

As a skilled occupational therapist assistant (COTA) at Rise Therapy and Wellness, you are providing client-centered services under the direction of a licensed occupational therapist. Below are the following duties you may be responsible for: 

  • Collaborate with assigned supervising therapist on updating plan of care through completion of progress notes, re-evaluations, and discharge notes 

  • Facilitate monthly meetings with assigned supervising therapist to follow Michigan regulatory guidelines and Code of Ethics 

  • Document progress through completion of daily treatment notes

  • Educate patients, families, and other team members on therapeutic strategies, adaptive techniques and equipment to facilitate independence and participation in daily tasks
